Bottoming Out
Do You Feel Like Your Implants Are Sitting To Low?
One of the most common problems that occur after a Breast Augmentation is “Bottoming Out”. This is when the implant has fallen below the natural fold of the breast. This gives the breast a very low look while the nipples are still visually high. In many cases you can tell if you have bottomed out because your incisions may appear to be higher than it was initially or you can visibly see it above the natural fold of the breast.
Your probability wondering why this has happened… Typically bottoming out is caused by using an implant that is larger than what your body can hold. Other reasons that could contribute to bottoming out is the consistency of your breast tissue, the strength of the natural fold of the breast, your muscle or chest wall, or possibly even the surgeon’s surgical technique.
